Bald eagle mother and her eaglet.
FACT:
The bald eagle’s striking white head and tail are unmistakeable identifying characteristics. But did you know the eagle doesn’t get its white head until it reaches maturity at about 5 years old.
Data Collection. The Eagle Institute Data Reports. Data Collection. The Eagle Institute Data Reports.

The Eagle Institute operates under the auspices of the Volunteer in Parks program within Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River and in cooperation with The New York Department of Environmental Conservation, Adopt-A-Natural Resource Program.

The purpose of the Data Reports is to collect data about eagles and other wildlife in areas known for use by wintering bald eagles. We also collect data about the people who come to see those eagles. And finally, to provide education and interpretation of the resource for those visitors.
